HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION- MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday (3/3). At approximately 10:53 AM, dispatch received a call of a deceased male subject that had been shot. Deputies arrived on scene at a residence in the 8700 block of Desoto Dr. and observed the male victim, identified as Joshua Carlos Perea (39 of Mohave Valley), was deceased. Detectives were called to the scene to assume the investigation.
The investigation revealed that Perea had been shot by his girlfriend after a verbal and physical domestic violence incident. Detectives located and collected the handgun and several witness statements to include speaking with the other involved party. This investigation is ongoing
