A 2004 red Ford Explorer was reportedly traveling westbound on Highway 68 when it collided into a Can-Am off-road vehicle that was attempting to cross the highway.

A 48-year-old female passenger from Idaho in the UTV was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 49-year-old male UTV driver, also reportedly from Idaho, was flown via Careflight helicopter to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV with serious injuries. There were no other occupants in the UTV.

The male driver, age 78 from Mohave Valley, of the Ford Explorer was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center by Bullhead City Fire paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.

Names will not be released until next of kin has been notified. The fatal accident remains under investigation.
